How quickly a sedentary existence can reverse the physical progress a person makes increasing their strength. I went home early from work on Sunday because I am sick. I have an upper respiratory infection presently. I managed a way to be left off the schedule this week. It is like a mini vacation except it is just a week of being off the schedule. It means I will not be paid for this week but… I have my new job that I have been working since it began on Sunday. It pays $35 and hour compared to $17.20 an hour at HEB and has unlimited hours available it seems and I can set my own schedule. I passed the initial test and qualification exams. The first round was annotating the data. So we had a qualification test for doing that job that you get two chances to take each of the two exams. So that teaches you to do the job I have previously described. That job was expected to last only a day. It lasted around three days so I worked all three days. Then I got an email invitation to the next phase which required two more exams with two chances based on a 36 page text you have to read first. This was longer and it describes the second job they are having me do. This is auditing the responses from the first phase. So all of the responses, or at least a large enough sample of them, get audited by the people that make it to the second phase. This job is much easier than the first job as it does not require typing anything or coming up with new question answer pairs. This job they mentioned having a daily quota possibly. So that implies that it will continue onwards. There were lots of people already doing this when I started so perhaps this is the workflow they are using for this. The system has already reviewed my work and passed it, but it has not been audited by a human yet. One time doing this, as this is the standard method used by other companies so I have experienced this workflow before, that is the first round being annotation and the second round being auditing. The only question is how long this project will last. I think it is a brand new project. It is doing a brand new format, that is video annotation question answering rather than simply from pictures or text instead with video. I think I might be one of the first graders for this type of program. But it is using all of the exact same methodology I have done in this role as I did when I worked doing large language model evaluation work and before that search engine evaluation work doing question answering. So I understand the workflow and how this software is developed. Annotated data set. That is all we are producing. Each job I complete is stored in JSON on a database and becomes a sheet on a database with all of the audited data samples. I have started auditing some of the other people’s responses, many of them are not native English speakers or at least their use of English is not the localized version used in the United States. Either that or they are just not creative, or they worked too many hours and lost their creativity, I felt that happening to myself so I took breaks. As a result I am not able to work as many hours as I did when I worked for other companies. Sure it was a good payday because I got multiple weeks of work, but if I had worked fewer hours at higher quality I could have turned it into a solid source of income. Because AI has military applications I would imagine that a lot of this AI bubble is in military contracts, or at least some contract attached to the government. Musk would be able to know what is and what is not a good business idea for AI for the government, or at least he has people in his organization who are, and they could cut all the contracts with the fake AI companies and that could be a good first firing that he makes as head of government efficiency of whatever position Trump promised him. Real machine learning applications of technology are money and they are huge money makers, but the fake AI is the bubble that will burst. First thing Musk should do is make the government more efficient by severing all of the military contracts with these fake AI companies. Because AI has military applications I would imagine that a lot of this AI bubble is in military contracts, or at least some contract attached to the government. Musk would be able to know what is and what is not a good business idea for AI for the government, or at least he has people in his organization who are, and they could cut all the contracts with the fake AI companies and that could be a good first firing that he makes as head of government efficiency of whatever position Trump promised him. But Musk is going to build a robot army of drones which will round up all the immigrants and force them to leave. I don't watch a lot of media these days. Mostly, I've got Fox News Live or some Russian music videos playing in the background while I'm tinkering away on the computer. It's funny how I can't really dive into longer narratives anymore because my focus is so wrapped up in what I'm coding or experimenting with. Netflix and traditional TV have kind of faded into the background for me. YouTube fills in the gaps when I need a change of pace, but even then, it's more of the same background noise. So, with Musk and Trump having just won the White House, I can't help but wonder where we're headed. Musk being in power is a game-changer for artificial intelligence research—it's like opening the floodgates. He's going to have the green light to build out his vision of robot armies, and honestly, that both excites and terrifies me. On one hand, we're looking at incredible advancements in technology; on the other, there's this looming question about how it'll all be used. We're already testing robot technology in foreign war zones, and that's only going to accelerate the development of law enforcement drones here at home. Think about it: how else could you manage the deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants? Robots could be the answer. And here's where my work comes into play. The encoding and decoding technology for speech recognition that I've been developing could be integral to this. Back when I was at Harvard, I took an entrepreneurship class where I started working on an application that uses the anatomy of linguistics as the foundational encoding architecture for the International Phonetic Alphabet. But instead of being limited to 150 or so characters, we're talking about leveraging millions of data points from three-dimensional anatomical models creating sound over time using fMRI data. I remember when Herbert Walker was elected they spread rumors he was bringing back slavery and some people believed it. This always happens during elections. People lie. The democrats lied a lot to make people so afraid they would vote. So I would take all the fear mongering with a grain of salt. If I let world events determine my mood I would always be suffering, so instead I focus on my individual life and how I can be known for being a kind person in real life. That is what people do not understand. People say I am a horrible person because of what I type online, but everyone in real life thinks I am a kind, generous and thoughtful person because I am in real life. In real life I have a censor, just like everyone else. Online I am fearless and try to be kind in a different way. I try to speak my truth. If no one voted then they would have to come up with a different ruse to make it seem that the laws of the land originate from the people or from the other perspective that the rules of law come from above from the most high how it is that those that have control over the artificial multimodal language models will have control over the thoughts of people in the coming future. That is one of the wild things I am developing at Meta with their augmented reality technology except it is used to train multimodal language models which will create the ultimate method to go through all video and use search using a copression algorithm like principle content analysis or even gradient descent.
